The hardest part of accessing counselling is reaching out for help, but in doing so your journey of empowerment begins. Whatever your experiences are, I work from a person-centred approach, offering an empathic, trusting and non-judgemental space enabling you to explore your experiences safely.

About me

My name is Jayne and I am a BACP Registered Counsellor based in Kinver.

With many years’ experience working as a trauma informed counsellor and advocate, I have specialised in supporting survivors of sexual abuse at West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre. I now have my own private practice.

I also have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, self-esteem, self-harm and stress.

The Counselling Process

It offers you an opportunity to work through issues you are experiencing, or have experienced no matter how big or small they may feel.

A person-centred approach is the foundation of my practice, integrating other therapeutic methods to create a tailored approach in my work. This means you are at the centre of the process, working together to address your needs. I will not tell you what to do, but by creating a safe, trusting environment you will be offered the opportunity to talk openly about your concerns and experiences, while working towards a self-aware, more positive lifestyle.

Jayne came to us highly recommended from both a friend and a counsellor who could not offer the support my daughter needed.

Jayne worked closely with my daughter over a period of a few months working empathy and insight into her needs. She instilled self belief and self care and provided thought provoking strategies to guide my daughter into an improved mind set and the ability to cope with today's minefield of a world in being a young adult.

My daughter still uses Jayne's strategies and is a happy, confident young person who believes in herself and now supports other's.

Thank you Jayne!
